As you know, the ACCNJ Safety Council serves as a networking and information exchange opportunity for members, including Construction Managers, General Contractors, and Subcontractors, as well as OSHA area representatives and the general construction trades’ training directors. Each meeting will contain an educational element and set agenda. 

We host quarterly meetings over lunch, with presentations by ACCNJ members, vendors, labor partners and OSHA. The Spring meeting is scheduled for April 11, 2025, at the Association Offices, Edison, NJ, 3rd Floor Conference Room, at 11:30 AM. The cost to attend is $30 per person.

As you may have heard, Federal DOT has now authorized saliva drug testing for Federally mandated drug testing programs. This is a sea change and will have many implications for workers and their employers. Navigating this as well as the new reality of legal cannabis is a challenge virtually all ACCNJ members are/will be facing.

As a certified MRO and national expert on workplace drug testing in Labor Management workplaces, Dr. Jeff Altholz will discuss the Federal DOT program, which is the template from which most non-DOT programs take their lead, so this will have broad implications throughout the NY/NJ construction industry for years to come.
