As part of our Educational Workshop Series, ACCNJ will be hosting a Communication Workshop on March 13, 2026, from 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM at the ACCNJ Offices in Edison.
Course Overview
The workplace is a communication jungle filled with unique personalities, diverse backgrounds, and varying expectations. Navigating this dynamic environment requires understanding how to connect with others effectively while respecting individual differences. "Surviving in The Communication Jungle®: Concrete Tactics for Improving Relationships with Others" helps participants uncover their own communication style and explore how it interacts with others in the workplace. Participants will examine how factors like race, gender, socioeconomic status, and regional differences shape individual experiences and perceptions, and they’ll gain tools for bridging divides. The course focuses on practical strategies for adapting communication styles, building stronger connections, and addressing the challenges that arise when people with diverse backgrounds and approaches work together. Using Business Training Works’ signature styles assessment, The Communication Jungle®, participants will learn to identify their own style—whether they’re a lion, peacock, dove, or turtle—and understand how to collaborate effectively with others.
