As you know, the ACCNJ Safety Council serves as a networking and information exchange opportunity for members, including Construction Managers, General Contractors, and Subcontractors, as well as OSHA area representatives and the general construction trades’ training directors. Each meeting will contain an educational element and set agenda. 

We host quarterly meetings over lunch, with presentations by ACCNJ members, vendors, labor partners and OSHA. The Fall meeting is scheduled for October 11, 2024, at the Association Offices, Edison, NJ, 3rd Floor Conference Room, at 11:30 AM. The cost to attend is $30 per person.

Join us as Milwaukee Tool representatives take you on a journey through their story. There’s a reason Milwaukee has been around for 100 years! Zachary Maggio and Marco Rodriguez will explain what separates them from the pack and how the end-user is at the forefront of everything Milwaukee does. They will showcase the newest and most innovative products - all designed to keep the end user productive, efficient, and most importantly safe. They will also have the conversation to help explain the transition of Hard Hats to Helmets. Milwaukee will deep dive into the benefits of a Type ll helmet and how their helmets set the standard with their BOLT accessories - again keeping the end users at the top of mind. Come ready to engage and ask questions!

In addition, we will have a presentation by Chris Lalevee, Business Agent IUOE 825. Chris has been tapped by the White House as New Jersey’s Harm Reduction in Construction Liaison for The White House Challenge to Save Lives from Overdose. This is a nationwide call-to-action to stakeholders across all sectors to commit to save lives by increasing training on and access to life-saving opioid overdose reversal medications. Chris will give a brief overview of the importance of Naloxone and its administration as a life-saving measure.
