Description

As you know, the ACCNJ Safety Council serves as a networking and information exchange opportunity for members, including Construction Managers, General Contractors, and Subcontractors, as well as OSHA area representatives and the general construction trades’ training directors. Each meeting will contain an educational element and set agenda. 

We host quarterly meetings over lunch, with presentations by ACCNJ members, vendors, labor partners and OSHA. The Spring meeting is scheduled for April 12, 2024, at the Association Offices, Edison, NJ, 3rd Floor Conference Room, at 11:30 AM. The cost to attend is $30 per person.

We will welcome Chris Lalevee, Business Agent for Operating Engineers Local 825. Chris will address “Real Issues in the Construction Industry.” This presentation will:

• Bring awareness to the overdose rates in the industry
• Talk about Fentanyl
• Discuss Narcan reversal
• Raise awareness on mental health
• Discuss suicide in the industry
• Discuss prevention/awareness & postvention
• How to bring awareness to your company and workforce
• Action steps
