Blueprint Reading Basics: Building

Description

This program is delivered in three sessions: July 10, 17, and 24, from 5 PM to 7:30 PM. Participants must attend all three sessions.

Description: This blueprint reading series is developed to instruct each participant in the basic understanding of construction blueprints & specifications. Reading blueprints requires a basic understanding, practice and general knowledge of industry standards used to communicate project design.

• An introductory & foundational knowledge of blueprint reading as it relates to building construction projects.
• Information on the following topics: terms, symbols, specification reading, isometric drawings
• Be able to locate both general & specific trade information using blueprints.
• Be able to answer basic construction questions related to design intent, project layout and the installation of materials at the jobsite.
• Be able to locate, identify & understand project specific aspects within the design documents.
